Valdimar Valdimar 4 4 bronze badges. I don't understand. If you delete it off the Camera Roll and then it gets automatically deleted off the Photo Stream after 30 days then the photo is gone. Then what? The answer is not clear enough on this account, so I will update it. Harv 6, 15 15 silver badges 41 41 bronze badges.
This is not completely accurate. There are simply two pointers to the same file. Removing it from both would cause the X KB to no longer be used.
The Overflow Blog. Does ES6 make JavaScript frameworks obsolete? With the exception of Live Photos, My Photo Stream automatically uploads 1, pics from the last 30 days from each of your devices. It also supports a broader array of file formats for photos, as well as Live Photos and videos.
In other words, both have their benefits, and each serves a specific purpose. My Photo Stream is just a nimble way to access your recent photos on all your devices. The simplest way to explain the difference between your Camera Roll and Photo Stream is that your Camera Roll is where all the pictures you've taken with your iPhone are, whereas My Photo Stream syncs only the most recent ones, so you can access them on other devices. It does, however, take up space on the devices it syncs with, which is why there is a limitation of only 1, pictures and only from the last 30 days.
You can set it and forget it! Let us first understand what the two features are. Camera Roll is a feature inside the phone, tablet or laptop which will store the images you take inside the device itself. As you open the album and check out your gallery, you would see all the images you have taken. The images are stored using the memory of the device. If you use up all the memory on your device, then you cannot store any more photos, unless you delete some photos or other files that are taking up some space.
Photo Stream is not a feature on your phone, tablet or laptop. It has organizes photos into three views of what it is usually the exact same content: your recently taken photos. It can indeed get confusing. There is no real solid solution for this, as the iCloud Photo Library feature which combines Camera Roll with My Photo Stream — which is currently in beta — is still somewhat wonky.
