Where is deus mons located

I hope you're having a wonderful day to whoever may happen to read this :. I am sort of brand new to this community, and I've decided I'll actually attempt to be an active member and try to participate in things! Now I'll attempt to go as deep as I can go into this mod, including the backstory, what it offers, and what it is compatible for, and of course a basic overview before we start and my overall opinion of it at the end.

Deus Mons is a mod that brings in an entire new stronghold for the player to make their own by finding and claiming it. It uses some pre-made elements and recreates them for a unique use, other than the original intent.

This mod also brings in a plentiful amount of NPC's that the player may interact with, some of which are "Deus Mons Knights". They are basically simple NPC's wearing full Steel Plate armor and wielding steel battleaxes and warhammers.

I say simple NPC's because I tested to see if they were hostile against a hostile Boneman, only for them to scream and run for it. This may be a bug I hope is fixed, but they look cool either way. The legend says that Miraak himself would have built it. A legacy that deserves to be perpetuated on Special Edition Here we will go into further detail about all the rooms, features, items, and interactive NPC's that this mod brings to the table.

The location of this stronghold is on the southern side of the Throat of the World, an easy way to find it is to travel to Ivarstead and go south, it will appear on the compass with the symbol in the picture above.

Upon arriving, you will see a dragon pearched atop the bridge to the castle named "Deussodovah" which will remain passive unless attacked or approached. You need to kill this dragon in order to gain entry into the stronghold and to claim it as yours, as the key which is required is on this dragon.

There is also a note from Miraak to this dragon explaining why it's there, it is not necessary to grab this, but it provides some lore. The lore of this fantastically made mod is rather impressive, I will try to shorten it into my own words so you may get an understanding. The origins of this building lies back several millennia when Dragons roamed the young land of Skyrim. Eventually, Miraak left for Solstheim and left it for the snow of the land to embrace it. Many lords and jarls wished to have made this their homes, though the climb and dangers pushed them away.

A nobleman from Markarth had decided to rebuild the bridge to the stronghold, and the dragonkeeper appeared to protect it. Some parts were left out, if you would like the full lore, search for this mod to get the full story. This room has blessings from all the gods at your disposal to pick and choose from. There is a ghost you cannot interact with at the time of this review, as well as three Deus Mons Knights.

You may access the Underfalls, the living quarters and the Overfalls through this room. The Knights inside stand by the exits, and the ghost inside simply wanders around. These rooms consists of plentiful amounts of ingredients, soul gems, and potions for the mages and alchemists of Skyrim to experiment and play around with, there is a Khajit you cannot interact with, though it does speak to you. There is also a swimming pool in the underfalls which serves just as a pool.

A hunter is sometimes in this area which sells you basic things hunters in the wild would sell, and you may sell things to this and all the other barters throughout the stronghold. This is by far my favourite room and part regarding this mod, since there's so many things going on at once, but I shall go over all of the smaller rooms inside of this one, as well as the items, features, and NPC's inside.

At the backside of the children's bedroom, you'll find a wardrobe that has a false back panel, and leads into a cave system. There is also many cooking stations in this room. This section of the stronghold is currently a work in progress by the creators, So they lie mostly empty. There is an Alduin statue and an exit to Skyrim. Besides that it is just an empty pathway, so I won't be showcasing it at this time.

Outside of the bedroom lies a plenty amount of mannequins and display cases for you to do what you wish with them. Exiting the bedroom and to the left is the pool leading to the Overfalls, and to the right is a kitchen area with a few new followers you can hire. One is a Khajit, while I believe the other is an imperial or a Nord.

There's also William the Chef who you may buy food and ingredients from. Inside the kitchen is a cooking station and many storage containers for all sorts of food. Outside the pool lies a guest bedroom, and outside the kitchen lies the servants quarters. There isn't much in either of these so I'll skip them for now. Going up the stairs leads to both the throne pictured above and a blacksmith.

The mod creator is no longer working on this castle, and is offering for others to take over. I may take them up on that. You can find Deus Mons here. This castle is horrible. They chose a lovely location, but the dragon statues are overkill, and the inside looks like it was decorated by a kid.

As someone who is quite a talented interior decorator, the interior of this castle looks like your steward vomited Pepto Bismol everywhere. Whitestone Spire is just too cutesy for my taste. Cute little baked treats? The Dragonborn does not eat cute little baked treats. The Dragonborn eats raw legs of goat and Falmer ears, maybe the occasional Sweet Roll. Beyond the horrible interior, this place does have a nice layout, though a bit confusing at first.

It has ample space, and a nice little alchemy room. The master bedroom is kind of cool, especially if you want to get away from all the slaying and butterfly chasing for a moment. I really dig the indoor circular garden. However, as another negative, at least for me, this castle is located way over by Markarth.

No one wants to go to Markarth. Bitch, please. You can find Whitestone Spire here. This place is super fucking cool, and super fucking huge! I think the modder did an excellent job with this one, and it seems they have fixed the bugs it had before. This player home is enormous, as you can see. The interior reminds you of Solitude, but everything just makes you shriek in delight.

The tall peaks of this castle are imposing, but it has a beautiful view of Whiterun:. This castle features a few beautiful thrones located in select rooms. There is a library with bookshelves and mannequins, which is well-decorated. There is also a larger Armory with several weapon and armor displays, a nice master bedroom, a study, a dining area, and more! This castle is very well decorated, and is quite beautiful. You can find Castle Draco Riverwood Edition here. This mod is amazing!

It is massive too! The front part you see there is the bedroom. There is a huge interior dining and trophy display area. The center part is a multilevel complex that makes up the barracks and jail.

Yes, too many, at least for me. Though the mannequins are relatively well-behaved, there are a couple glitches. There is also a glitch with the doors that go to the houses. I think my main problem is that I would not know what to do with at least half of the unlabeled chests in this mod. I do love how bright the interior is, though, and that there are plenty of displays. If I become unhappy with my current castle, I may decide to move to this place instead.

It has a prime real estate location to the left of Whiterun. I may decide to edit this mod to fit my needs, because I do enjoy the entirety of the layout. If you want more of a house-type residence, instead of a castle, but you still want something massive, you may want to look into Ironwood Homestead. This large home is modeled after Dragonsreach, and boasts a beautiful layout. For me, it was just lacking in a few things, such as storage.
